Terms and conditions
Welcome to Transport Domus. Please read these Terms & Conditions (“Terms”) carefully before using our website, mobile application, or services (collectively, the “Platform”). By accessing or using the Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
1. Definitions
“Transport Domus”, “we”, “us” or “our”: Transport Domus Inc., operator of the Platform.
“Platform”: The website, mobile applications, and related services operated by Transport Domus.
“Client”: A user who posts a request for moving, delivery, courier, or taxi services.
“Service Provider”: An individual or company registered on the Platform offering moving, delivery, courier, or taxi services.
“Booking”: The confirmation of a Client’s request with a Service Provider.
“TD-Points”: Reward points earned by Clients equal to 10% of the booking value (1 TD-Point = $1 CAD).
2. Scope of Services
Connection Services
Transport Domus connects Clients with pre-verified Service Providers across Canada (major cities plus a 100 km radius).
Clients post service requests (moving, delivery, courier, taxi) via the Platform.
Requests remain open for 24 hours, during which Service Providers may submit offers.
After 24 hours, requests expire; our team may then contact the Client with alternative options.
Booking & Payment
Clients choose from submitted offers and book directly with the Service Provider.
Payment is arranged directly between Client and Service Provider (cash, Interac e-Transfer, bank transfer, or other agreed method).
Transport Domus does not process Client payments.
Platform Fees & Commissions
Posting requests is free for Clients.
Service Providers pay a commission on each completed job to Transport Domus; no subscription or listing fees apply.
Referral Program: Clients and Service Providers earn 3% cashback in TD-Coins on transactions completed by invited referrals.
Rewards Program (TD-Points)
Clients earn 10% cashback on each booking in TD-Points.
Redemption: TD-Points may be redeemed for discounts, rewards, or real-cash payouts (minimum 150 TD-Points to cash out).
TD-Points do not expire.
3. User Registration & Verification
Clients
Must provide accurate personal information and be at least 18 years of age.
Service Providers
May register as an individual, requiring only identity verification, or as a company, requiring provincial documentation:
Quebec: NEQ, NIR, GST (TPS), QST (TVQ) numbers.
Ontario: OCN or BIN, CVOR, HST number.
Manitoba: MB BN, NSC, GST, RST numbers.
Saskatchewan: SK Registry Number, NSC, GST, PST numbers.
British Columbia: BC Registry Number, NSC, GST, PST numbers.
Alberta: AB Registry Number, NSC, GST number.
Documents must be uploaded during registration and are reviewed within 48 hours.
4. Cancellations & Refunds
Client Cancellations: Free up to 24 hours before scheduled service; fees may apply thereafter as per Service Provider policy.
Provider Cancellations: Must inform both Client and Transport Domus promptly; repeated no-shows may result in account suspension.
Refunds are issued at Transport Domus’s discretion based on individual circumstances.
5. Liability & Insurance
Transport Domus is a marketplace; all services are performed by independent Service Providers.
Service Providers are responsible for carrying appropriate insurance (liability, cargo).
Transport Domus is not liable for loss, damage, or delays caused by Service Providers.
Clients should photograph valuable items prior to service and request proof of insurance where needed.
6. User Conduct
Users agree not to:
Post fraudulent or misleading requests.
Use the Platform for illegal or unauthorized purposes.
Harass, threaten, or defraud other users.
Circumvent Platform fees by arranging off-Platform transactions.
Transport Domus reserves the right to suspend or terminate accounts for violations without notice.
6.1 Service Provider Obligations and Commission Compliance
All service providers using the Transport Domus platform—including both registered companies and individual professionals with their own fleet of vehicles—are contractually obligated to comply with the commission structure established during their registration and onboarding process.
Under no circumstances may providers bypass the platform to avoid paying commission fees. This includes, but is not limited to, making direct arrangements with clients initially contacted through Transport Domus, underreporting the value of jobs, or misrepresenting service details.
Both companies and individual experts are equally responsible for ensuring full and timely commission payments for every transaction facilitated by the platform.
Failure to comply will be considered a serious breach of contract. Transport Domus reserves the right to take legal action, which may include a claim of up to $10,000 CAD in damages, in addition to recovering legal and administrative costs. Offending accounts may also be suspended or permanently removed from the platform without notice.
7. Dispute Resolution
Clients and Service Providers should first attempt to resolve disputes directly.
If unresolved, Transport Domus may mediate but does not guarantee outcomes.
All disputes regarding service quality or damage must be reported within 48 hours of service completion.
8. Intellectual Property
All content on the Platform (text, graphics, logos, code) is owned by Transport Domus.
No portion of the Platform may be reproduced or distributed without prior written permission.
9. Modifications
Transport Domus may update these Terms at any time.
We will notify users of material changes via email or Platform announcements.
Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and the federal laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Montreal, Quebec.
